Every export-bound piece is appraised under JAFIC appraisal standards, the same framework used by 14 regional Japanese antique cooperatives. Customs officers in the EU, US, UK, Australia, and Singapore read paperwork they recognise.
Forty-seven specialist curators — across ceramics, lacquerware, timepieces, textiles, and furniture — inspect and sign off on every shipment. You receive the curator's name on the documentation, not a warehouse number.
One Export Desk, one email thread, one specialist. Questions about CITES paperwork for lacquerware, the correct HS code for a Showa-era clock, or the right incoterm for your dealer — answered in English by a person who knows the listing.
The same 100-day provenance guarantee we offer inside Japan travels with the piece. If an international buyer disputes authenticity within 100 days, we arrange return logistics and inspection at our Tokyo verification centre.
